Viva Musica! festival represents a unique concept of a summer music festival, whose main aim can be summarised in four words: classical with a difference. The intention is to provide high-quality music, with top artists from home and abroad, every year in Slovakia. The festival seeks to present classical music in an untraditional manner, in untraditional places and in an untraditional context, and for 16 years this idea has been meeting with positive responses: Viva Musica! today is one of the largest international music festivals in Slovakia. Viva Musica! has 16 successful annual events behind it, during which more than 400 concerts have been held in the Bratislava region. More than 450 top-ranking soloists, ensembles and orchestras from home and abroad have appeared there, and during the history of the festival thus far more than 158,000 listeners have visited the concerts.
