The Mahler Chamber Orchestra has paired with spatial audio expert Henrik Oppermann to make high-dimensional recordings of chamber and orchestral music, for presentation in AR/VR environments. These immersive experiences have brought us new perspective on the meaning of voice, interaction, interpretation and space in music. Using works of Mozart and Ives, we will explore how this technology can bring life to music, both in performance and in the emergent digital universe.
