Sinfonietta VivazzA is a chamber ensemble that is made up of passionate musicians who present high quality concerts for a diverse public. Named after Rossini’s restless and adventuresome father, the motto of VivazzA is that “chamber music should be performed for the enjoyment of everyone.” To be able to achieve this goal, VivazzA, presents concert programs in flexible formations as well as collaborates with other art genres, such as theater, opera, dance, and film.

With their innovate programs, VivazzA has performed for delighted audiences in concerts at the Neuland Projekt Concert of the Tonhalle Düsseldorf, the Summer Concert Series of the Ludwigs-Maximilian-University of Munich, the chamber music hall of the Beethovenhaus in Bonn, and the Museum of Arts and Crafts/Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe in Hamburg. In 2021, Sinfonietta VivazzA was awarded a 2nd prize for chamber music in the Medici International Music Competition. In 2015, VivazzA also performed on the Deutschlandfunk radio production Als Friede ein Fremdwort war/When the word peace was an alien word honoring the end of World War II.

VivazzA is composed of international musicians, who have obtained a world-wide musical education and bring a well-rounded performance experience to each performance. As well as being active soloists, members of Sinfonietta VivazzA have played with such renowned orchestras as the Schleswig-Holstein Festival Orchestra, Pacific Music Festival Orchestra (Sapporo, Japan), St. Paul Chamber Orchestra (Minnesota, USA), and the Philharmonie Essen and have also performed in chamber music ensembles with members of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and West German Radio Orchestra (WDR Sinfonieorchester).

In 2017, the core musicians and friends of Sinfonietta VivazzA founded a non-for-profit organization, VivazzA e.V., to help support our artistic activities
