Krüs, Monique

Monique Krüs is a versatile composer of operas, chamber music, orchestral music, songs, music for choir and for media. With her experience as an operasinger and performer of many classical and contemporary vocal works, it is no surprise that she loves to write for voice like opera, lieder, oratoria. Especially opera has her focus: this art form requires collaboration with a number of creatives from different backgrounds.
She started her composing career writing and producing music for TV shows, still one of her favorite things.

Her opera Anne & Zef (2015, for 12+) gained worldwide recognition with performances and new stagings in a.o. Rome, Beijing, Wiesbaden and Hong Kong. From her instrumental works 'Orchis, a requiem' for oboe and string quartet is very popular.
