Natalia Merlano Gómez: Natalia Merlano Gómez is a musician, singer, improviser, creator, and teacher born in Colombia in 1987. Her interests include folk music worldwide, especially from Latin American countries, academic contemporary music, and experimental music. She is also interested in explorations around video and photography.
She studied a M.A in Contemporary Music - Singing at Staatliche Hochschule fur Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Stuttgart, Germany. She did her bachelor's at the Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas in Bogotá, graduated as a singer with honors.
During the last few years, she has developed many projects around voice. Most recently, she recorded her first album called: Resonancias Entrelazadas. It includes 15 pieces written by women composers from different countries and improvisations with women performers.
